Burn-in: testing the LED boards

Another practice adopted by EndelByte to ensure the maximum reliability of our products is the burn-in of the boards.

In electronic circuits, "burn-in" is an accelerated test process in which devices are subjected to thermal, voltage or load stress in order to identify "infant mortality" defects, i.e. failures that occur at the beginning of the product's life. The aim is to expose unstable components, defective solder joints or other weak points, removing faulty devices before they are shipped and thus ensuring greater reliability.

The boards we produce undergo repeated thermal cycles that break any ‘weak solder joints’, preventing newly delivered boards from failing.
